Introduction

ARGO: UV to Mid-IR Tunable OPA laser suite for advanced pump-probe spectroscopy

High-power ultrafast laser suite offering market-leading conversion efficiency at short pulses.

ARGO is our high-power widely tunable, multi-color OPA (optical parametric amplifier) laser suite capable of delivering sub-50-fs pulses with market-leading conversion efficiency. Combining our advanced OPCPA technology with harmonic generation conversion stages, the system delivers wavelengths from deep-UV (200 nm) to mid-IR (16.2 µm). Our new Class 5 Bridge, an IoT-enabled modular control system, connects multiple ARGO units to build advanced pump-probe setups.

FAQ

Which Yb-lasers are compatible with ARGO?

ARGO is compatible with a wide range of commercially available Yb-lasers, including but not limited to:

  • Monaco – Coherent
  • A8000 – Amphos
  • Carbide – Light Conversion

Please contact us to confirm compatibility with your specific laser source.

Which wavelength options are available for the ARGO 800 OPCPA?
Which wavelength options are available for the ARGO 2000 OPCPA?

ARGO 2000 OPCPA offers a tunable output range from 1400 to 2000 nm (signal) and from 2100 to 3500 nm (Idler). Additional wavelength ranges can be accessed through nonlinear wavelength conversion stages, enabling 700–1400 nm (SHG), 350–700 nm (FHG), and 3.5–16.2 µm (DFG).

Is a pump laser included with the ARGO OPCPA?

The ARGO OPCPA line is specifically designed to operate with a wide range of Yb-lasers. Our systems can be integrated with existing Yb-lasers or, upon request, delivered as a complete system that includes a new pump laser.

What pulse durations does ARGO support?

ARGO 800 OPCPA pulses are compressed to durations below 50 fs.
ARGO 2000 OPCPA pulses are delivered with compressed pulse durations in the 100–300 fs range.

If shorter pulses are required, please refer to our ARGO 1030 MPC system or contact our sales team: sales@class5photonics.com.

Which Yb-laser pump energies are supported?

For both ARGO 800 and ARGO 2000, the standard version supports pulse energies in the 20–100 µJ range, while the Pro version supports 100–3000 µJ.
